The following guide sheet will accompany the Wine Tasting you are about to enjoy and will follow the order of your tasting experience. The tasting notes are compiled by our Master Wine Maker and advice is on hand to help you to choose wines to suit your palate. All are available for you to purchase in the Chilford Wines & Bistro Shop after the Tasting. Please feel free to discuss your particular wine purchase requirements with your tour guide.

Blush 2010 - £8.75 SOLD OUT!
EAWGA SILVER MEDAL 2011 Grape: Schönburger, Müller-Thurgau, Dornfelder
Characteristics: A traditionally made Blush, Salmon pink in colour and packed with summer fruits. This wine has hints of cherry and raspberry aromas leading to the intense flavours of strawberries. This refreshing and very quaffable wine is ideal on its own and equally great with the barbecue.

EAWGA SILVER MEDAL 2011 Grape: Müller-Thurgau, Reichensteiner and Dornfelder
Characteristics: Distinctive pale pink with small sparkling bubbles, the nose and palate are rewarded with notes of fresh strawberries, red fruit and cherry. This sparkling wine is quite full, fresh and refined with a lingering finish.

Chilford Hundred 2009 Sparkling White - £15.95
Grape: Muller Thurgau, Reichensteiner and Pinot Noir
Characteristics: This carefully blended delicate wine opens with a rush of fine bubbles bursting with aromas of new mown grass, herbs and lemons. The palate immediately becomes awash with grapefruit and lime zest, culminating in a fresh, lingering finish of kiwi and lemon.

Chilford Hundred Medium Dry 2010 - £8.25
Grape: Müller-Thurgau, Schönburger and Siegerrebe
Characteristics: A pale greeny yellow colour with a herb and yeast nose. You will find that this develops into an unusual slight burnt sugar with strong hints of red apples. The fresh fruit flavours give a rounded yet crisp palate making it smooth and clean tasting.
Recommended as a drinking wine. |

Characteristics: A rich, robust, intensely coloured wine made from an equal blend of rondo and regent grapes, matured in French and American oak barrels.
This wine bursts with black cherry and plum flavours, finishing with smooth vanilla overtones.

Characteristics: This is the sweetest wine currently in our portfolio. It has a distinctive sherbet aroma with an opening burst of citrus fruits and peaches on the palate. Apple and elderflower tones come through in the middle finishing with a hint of honey and pears.

EAWGA BRONZE MEDAL WINNER Grape: Schönburger and Müller-Thurgau
Characteristics: This young, clean, refreshing light wine presents with a pale golden hue and an elegant bouquet of fresh melon. It is bursting with lemon and lychees flavours leaving a hint of apricot overtones on the palate. This wine is great on its own, but superb with seafood and poultry. This wine is currently the driest of our white wines.
